Our company is looking for a ILS Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment & development of Maintainability and ILS logistic solutions;
  • Level of Repair & Maintenance Task Analysis;
  • Logistic Support Analysis, compilation and maintenance of support data sets in an LSAR;
  • Initial Provisioning Data compilation (Spare Parts & Equipment);
  • Recommended Spare Parts Recommendations (including spares optimisation);
  • Maintenance Programme generation & Life Cycle Cost modelling;
  • Carry out the resolution process for all the obsolescence queries raised against any of the LM UKIS products;
  • Support to the creation of Basis of Estimates and associated programmes of work to develop the Support solutions;
  • Identify and analyse obsolescence support requirements from customer documentation such as the URD, SRD, SOW or SOR;
  • Definition and support to development of the company’s Through Life Support capability across project teams;
  • Provide ILS knowledge to support the development of support solutions in support of UKIS programmes;
  • Provide ILS/Obsolescence Support to the development of associated specialist support products, such as the LM STAR capability;
  • Support the development of sustainment strategies including identification of alternate sources, items and modernization requirements;
  • Review Bills of Material, perform electronic component obsolescence analysis and COTS market analysis and present findings to management and customer;
  • Definition and support to development of CMS Through Life Support capability across project teams.

Requirements:

  • MIL HDBK 471A; MIL HDBK 472; MIL STD 785; MIL STD 756; MIL STD 470; Def Stan 00-250 and MIL-STD-1472; ASD;
  • Assessment and development of ILS Solutions;
  • A track record of creating and checking high quality technical documentation;
  • Experience of ERP packages and 2D/3D drawing viewers;
  • DEF STAN 00-60/600 and JSP886; DEF STANs 00-40/42/44; MIL STD 1388-1/2A/2B; MIL STD 1629A; MIL STD 2165;
  • Experience of working within a structured LCM framework;
  • Experience of working to the relevant standards and data sources;
  • Logistic Support Analysis (software e.g. Omega PS, Eagle;
  • BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Apprenticeship with HNC;
  • Experience of working to ASD Specification S2000M; ATA Specification 2000;
  • Experience with MS Office;
  • In service support, legacy products experience useful;
  • Experience of systems engineering processes, product development & through life support life-cycles;
  • Experience of ARM analysis/predictions including FMECA;
  • Degree or HND/HNC qualified with relevant practical experience (aerospace/military desirable).
