Junior Data Scientist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Scientific and technical publications are possible and encouraged;
- Engage with business stakeholders, product managers and designers to help deliver a shared vision of a luxury fashion recommender system;
- Design and develop state of the art algorithms in the area of Recommender systems;
- Conduct practical research with a scientific mindset, and a focus on delivery;
- Work closely with the engineering team to integrate ML algorithms into the platform.
Requirements:
- Be an expert in mining large & very complex data sets;
- Hold a PhD or Masters degree in a numerate discipline;
- Proficient programming in Python, Java, R, Spark, SQL etc;
- Proven experience developing and implementing Machine Learning algorithms using Python or R;
- Have experience using SQL and NoSQL databases and Apache Spark.
