Senior Data Scientist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders, data scientists and engineers in order to identify improvement opportunities from an AI perspective;
- You’ll be building relationships with key stakeholders from all walks of the business;
- Constantly experiment and improve the relevancy of the recommendation/ad optimization system;
- Identify and investigate potential improvements to our current methodologies; plan and implement agreed changes;
- To develop and maintain a good understanding of the Machine Learning developments within the industry;
- Cross Use Case optimisation and developing recommender systems;
- Recommend implementation strategies to the management based on sound statistical methodology;
- Where required, working with the Product team to identify client data science and machine learning requirements in joint product development;
- Interacting with clients, prospecting, understanding their business needs, providing solutions and presenting results;
- Turn low-level data into intelligible information;
- Build advanced supervised and unsupervised machine learning models;
- Using Big Data tools and techniques in order to build innovative solutions;
- Build and mentor the data science team;
- Working with large complex data sets;
- Use various statistical methods to process and analyse client’s proprietary dataset.
Requirements:
- High familiarity with libraries such as scikit-learn, tensorflow, keras, pandas, numpy;
- Strong statistical modelling background;
- Machine Learning / signal processing techniques;
- 4+ years’ industry experience;
- Good knowledge of SQL and shell is a plus;
- Software Engineering background;
- Data Visualisation;
- 5+ years experience in Data Science Machine learning and NLP expertise;
- Problem solve on a daily basis;
- Bonus scheme (average is 10% paid out every 6 months);
- Python;
- Improve production process;
- Applying deep learning techniques;
- High level of experience with Python (coding test in Python is involved within interview process);
- Mentoring junior team members or graduates.
