Our company is looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To minimise scrap and maximise levels of Customer satisfaction by the implementation of robust root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions;
  • Identify and implement improvements and deliver radical change, if required;
  • To carry out detailed first off measurement of components;
  • Manage internal and external Non-Compliances in accordance with requirements and specification;
  • Quality planning;
  • Assist in expediting Peppers business and its processes without compromising quality or customer satisfaction;
  • To carry out from time to time Finished Goods Inspection in accordance with requirements and specification;
  • Risk management;
  • Process and test method validation;
  • Routing documents through PLM system for review/approval;
  • Pragmatism– making decisions on information available;
  • Assisting with the internal Audits;
  • The hosting of audits by external bodies;
  • Generation of manufacturing documents to support manufacturing and identity acceptance criteria;
  • Ensuring the integrity of materials delivered in to the business through inspection and compliance to requirements and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Experience in internal audits;
  • Ability to motivate and direct staff to achieve measurable results;
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business and with Customers and Suppliers;
  • Ability to make tough decisions and deal with complex situations;
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision;
  • Experience in Quality Management of some kind;
  • Computer literate and proficient in “Microsoft Office”;
  • Comfortable with having a few nights away every now and again;
  • Ability to operate at a strategic and site level;
  • Understanding of IATF16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, REACH, H&S and Customer Specific requirements is (Beneficial but not essential);
  • Must be flexible;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
  • Previous experience within a related industry;
  • HNC / HND or relevant qualification;
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
