Product Support Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Product Support Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Written work instructions;
- Identifying risks and issues related to the business areas and engage relevant teams to ensure compliance with CB technology policies;
- Support engineering delivery to drive a reduction in technical debt across the production environment with development and infrastructure teams;
- Evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency & quality;
- Physical production aids;
- Maintenance, service and repair of equipment and tooling;
- Visual aids;
- Support Manufacturing and Production;
- Communicate with main engineering dept to aid production and support other departments;
- Maintenance and operation of automated test equipment;
- Owning and managing production support function covering global and regional applications;
- Calibration and maintenance of tooling and equipment;
- Delivery, support, update and revision control of production paperwork;
- Support other departments within the company with engineering information;
- Investigate & evaluate production issues and implement documented fixes.
Requirements:
- Service Management/Production Support experience combined with problem solving skills within a global support context;
- Preferred domain knowledge about Agency securities lending, stock borrow/stock lending, settlement, loans, collaterals, trade flow;
- 3-5 year experience in a relevant engineering position in the cable harness industry;
- Experience in improving efficiencies and driving down costs;
- Able to manage own priorities and workload to achieve targets to deadlines;
- Good knowledge and experience of interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and documentation;
- Strong experience of applying technical solutions to improve the stability of production environments;
- Fully computer literate;
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint);
- Capability to interact successfully in a virtual, multi-vendor and multi-cultural environment;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent relative experience;
- Experience with managing data in MRP/ERP software (part number generation, BoM population etc).
