Web Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Web Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Complete competitor analysis using a variety of tools including SEMrush;
- Identify design problems and devise solutions;
- Work collaboratively with other members of the digital team to ensure marketing is working holistically;
- Support the Marketing Manager on insights from Google Analytics including things like Traffic, Enquiries, on-page conversion rate, bounce rates etc;
- Interpret business data (Sales, web, EMT etc) and provide actionable insights into the wider business;
- Provide reporting on a regular basis to the digital team and the wider business;
- Creating and managing a suite of reports, providing actionable insight;
- Understanding web traffic and conversion metrics and tracking performance;
- Supporting product teams with research, recommending improvements;
- Implementing tagging & tracking for marketing campaigns;
- Work cohesively with the optimisation teams and on A/B and multi variant test measurements and making the appropriate recommendations;
- Supporting the business to make data informed decisions by completing ad-hoc requests for information and analysis;
- Cooperating with the BI team to uncover actionable insight;
- Working closely with google analytics;
- Conducting detailed analysis and reporting on their website traffic and conversion metrics, tracking performance.
Requirements:
- Ability to self-manage own workload;
- Strong excel skills;
- Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics experience is essential;
- 1+ year experience in a Web or Marketing Analytics role;
- Experience working with Tag Manager is desirable but not essential;
- Commercial experience with visualisation, reporting using Tableau;
- Ability to derive meaningful insights from data;
- Educated to degree level, preferably in numerical focussed degree, such as Maths, Economics or Computer Science;
- Proven implementation experience – Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch;
- Passion and enthusiasm for data;
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- Commercial experience with visualisation, reporting and optimisation tools;
- A passion for data;
- Experience of working across multiple team;
- SQL or Java or HTML would be advantageous.
