Bricklayer applies mortar to bricks and scrapes off excess. Lays and stacks bricks neatly in order to build walls and various structures. Being a Bricklayer requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Bricklayer may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Responsibilities:

  • Re-pointing work;
  • Working in a Rail environment (no PTS required);
  • Working on infrastructure;
  • Bricklaying as part of a team;
  • External works/civils, hard and soft landscaping and groups maintenance;
  • Masonry and brickwork restoration;
  • Build and Repair chimney stacks;
  • Accurate measuring and setting out of area for the first row of bricks;
  • Exceptional people skills, required to build a strong and long lasting experience to our clients;
  • Mixing mortar;
  • Mortar to set out buildings in line with the approved construction plans;
  • Working alongside colleagues to develop a robust planning strategy;
  • Tunnel linings;
  • Building or repairing brick walls;
  • Construction of paving, brickwork, concreting and rendering.

Requirements:

  • CSCS Card;
  • Previous experience as a bricklayer;
  • Own transport & tools;
  • Relevant qualifications in Bricklaying;
  • Immediately available;
  • Strong background in residential projects;
  • Full PPE;
  • Reliable;
  • Punctual.
