Our company is looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine statistical analysis;
  • Support senior team members in new projects by producing analysis and documents as required;
  • Explore and analyse any and all available data to influence future projects and initiatives;
  • Summarise and present the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders;
  • Identify new sources of data both internally and externally that would allow us to drive our business model forward at a faster pace;
  • Support senior team members in telling stories with data within presentations;
  • Provide web pixel data to the Teams;
  • Assist the labs team with data extractions, transformations, uploads and downloads (from SQL mainly);
  • Facilitate decision making by identifying and explaining key drivers of business performance;
  • Interpret and apply data and information security standard, policies and procedures;
  • Manipulate data (format, remove and add data and tables) in Excel, SQL and R;
  • Work with the Data Insight team and the wider Business Services Group to identify and manage data insight projects;
  • Support standardisation of reporting across all sectors and divisions where possible;
  • Identifying and collecting data from a range of internal and external systems;
  • Assist in the production of performance dashboards and reports.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manipulate data (format, remove and add data and tables);
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills (VLOOKUP’s, etc.);
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of self-motivation;
  • Organisational skills;
  • High proficiency in English; both spoken and written;
  • Strong data visualisation skills;
  • Good verbal and written skills;
  • Team-working Skills;
  • Strong number orientation through abilities in Maths, Accounting, Statistics and/or Finance.
