Electrical Maintenance Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- PAT Testing;
- Carrying out planned press mould change over’s within a planned schedule, develop the change over best practice to reduce changeover time;
- Completion of electrical, mechanical and fabric PPM & Reactive maintenance;
- Trouble shooting, fault finding & resolution to root cause of plant and equipment;
- Attend breakdowns and carry out effective and efficient fault finding to resolve issues;
- Carrying out pre-planned maintenance tasks on all site machinery;
- To accurately record all work undertaken on the computerised maintenance management system;
- Test Rig Facilities;
- To issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems;
- Robots;
- Conventional Machine Tools;
- Portable Appliance Testing;
- To undertake small installation works, repairs to electrical systems and front line maintenance support for mechanical systems;
- To ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments, and site operating processes;
- Breakdowns of complex production machinery & ancillaries.
Requirements:
- Electrical 18th Edition (Primary discipline Electrician only);
- UK driving licence is essential;
- Electrical ability – essential;
- Fully Qualified Electrician 2365 with NVQ/AM2 or 2357 with NVQ/AM2 or 2360 part2 or 2330 level 3 and EAL SQV3. ideally including 17th or 18th edition;
- PLCs incl fault finding & programming;
- PLC knowledge essential;
- Apprentice trained – desirable;
- Experience of fault finding on electrical and mechanical equipment;
- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering;
- Electrical fault finding, testing & repair;
- 18th Edition (Necessary);
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills;
- City & Guilds 2360 1&2 Electrical Installation;
- Experience in a heavy industrial environment advantageous;
- City & Guilds Level 3 Qualification or ONC.
