Maintenance Engineer – Electrical / Mechanical Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Engineer – Electrical / Mechanical to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- BMS monitoring alarms, general operation/adjustments (Trend);
- To attend training courses as and when necessary to ensure personal management and keep your technical knowledge up to date;
- Small electrical remedial works and upgrades;
- Liaise with and maintain good working relationship with client staff and facilities team;
- Experienced in mechanical maintenance (must be able to carry out mechanical tasks as required);
- Qualified Electrical Engineer;
- General Plumbing & Public Health including sanitary assets;
- Live within a commutable distance from the site;
- PLC diagnostic experience;
- Fan Coils- servicing and fault finding;
- Work towards the achievement of tasks within SLA times, work orders opened and closed in real time;
- Carry out minor faults, reactive service repairs where possible to HVAC & Plumbing systems, make safe;
- Assist other trades as and when necessary;
- To act in accordance to the Health and Safety policy when issues as such arise;
- Provide escort duties to subcontractors as necessary.
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving licence;
- 17th edition electrical regulations;
- 17th Edition (18th edition desirable);
- To represent the company in a professional and competent manner;
- The ability to work unsupervised in a pressurised environment dealing with internal customers of a highly technical nature;
- Proficient IT knowledge;
- City & Guilds Test and Inspection – Desirable;
- A recognised Apprenticeship or Qualification in M&E Services/Maintenance;
- The genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service;
- BTECONC Level 3 Electrical Engineering or C&G Electrical Engineering 2565 Level 3 or similar;
- Capable of prioritising a complex and demanding workload;
- Genuine learning agility, flexibility and willingness to learn;
- To ensure effective written and verbal communication of all operational M&E issues within the;
- To actively contribute to the team’s targets either individually or by supporting others;
- Enjoy working within a people focused environment.
