Gas Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Gas Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent customer service whilst working in occupied properties;
- Completing daily tasks via a PDA device;
- Commissioning;
- Replacing radiators;
- Carrying out services on domestic properties;
- Use handheld technology within allocated timescales;
- Undertaking responsive maintenance;
- Carry out Reactive and emergency tasks and complete the associated paperwork;
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner;
- Full domestic ACS;
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports;
- To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures;
- Assist other team members when required or as directed from Operations Supervisor/Contract Manager;
- To forge and maintain excellent customer relations with on site clients at all times;
- Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
Requirements:
- CCN1;
- HTR1;
- CENWAT1;
- Hold current Gas ACS Certificates – CCN1 & CEN1 / CENWAT1;
- Solid and structured Boiler Servicing knowledge;
- Competent on Electrical safety checks and use of a Multi Meter;
- General Boiler fault codes knowledge;
- Boiler fault diagnosis and repair;
- Previous boiler fault finding experience;
- Good geographical knowledge of the Ashford area;
- MET1;
- Physically fit as the role involves varying degrees of bending, squatting, lifting, stretching and reaching;
- Qualified to City & Guilds in Heating or Plumbing;
- You will need to hold a valid driver’s licence;
- Quick learner and able to process new information.
