Our company is looking for a LCV Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working effectively within a team of Technicians;
  • Working with the Maintenance team to maintain and repair all customer vehicles as required;
  • Efficiently and productively service and maintain customers vehicles;
  • Attend Manufacturer training courses;
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics as directed;
  • Dealing with customers;
  • You will inspect engines/ mechanical and electrical components, in order to diagnose and rectify problems within specific timeframes;
  • Operate all equipment and carry out duties in a safe and timely manner;
  • Advising to the supervisor of any improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs;
  • As Vehicle Technician you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to New and Used Vehicles;
  • Repairing Vehicle in line with manufacturers’ standards;
  • Maintaining all equipment to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • A current full driving licence with knowledge/experience of all makes of commercial vehicles;
  • Experience in carrying out diagnostic repairs and fault finding;
  • A good level of technical knowledge and ability in mechanical repair of commercial vehicles;
  • Own tools;
  • Previous experience working as a LCV Technician, ideally within another dealer environment but not essential;
  • Flexible approach to working hours;
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance Repair or equivalent is essential;
  • Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines;
  • Good professionalism and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Must be well spoken;
  • Have genuine commitment to delivering first class customer service;
  • Full UK driving licence required;
  • PC skills and proficiency are preferable;
  • 2 years (minimum) experience as a LCV Technician;
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
