Panel Beater Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Panel Beater to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Welding new or repaired panels into place;
- Removing any dents in panels;
- Repairing minor scratches, or making replacement panels;
- Mending rusted parts of a vehicle’s bodywork;
- Finishing the repair in a way that matches the rest of the bodywork or preparing the surface for a paint sprayer;
- Replacement of Panels;
- Completing the assigned task to the professional required standard;
- Welding and Bonding;
- Body Alignment;
- Straightening and filling panels;
- Planning work and ordering parts to ensure vehicles are ready when required;
- Dent repair with the use of hammer & dollies;
- Small and large area filler work, experience in this is a must;
- Removing and replacing the body shell of vehicles;
- Removing dented panels.
Requirements:
- Must work to a high standard;
- Keen eye for detail;
- Quality control awareness;
- Full driving licence;
- Good communication skills;
- ATA would be preferred but not essential;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Reliable;
- ATA/IMI/C&G/NVQ Qualified in Automotive Panel-craft;
- Career stability with references;
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures on repair methods;
- Previous automotive panel beating experience;
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets;
- Driving license is essential;
- Passion for the Automotive industry.
