Weekend Care Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Weekend Care Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Personal care;
- Companionship;
- Running errands like shopping/ going to the pharmacy;
- Assisting with Medication;
- Meal preperation;
- Light cleaning duties;
- Support residents with all aspects of personal care, whilst promoting and maintaining independence;
- To identify and meet the social, emotional and cultural needs of residents and participate in the organisation of person-centred engagement;
- Support residents to use the environment to its full potential, including each homes’ outdoor living space;
- Shopping and other errands;
- Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding;
- Helping our residents with personal support and care,
- Manual handling;
- Interacting with our residents on a personal level;
- Maintaining care plans.
Requirements:
- The right to live and work in the UK;
- Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not essential;
- At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years;
- You will need access to a smart phone or device to manage your rotas and timesheets on our mobile app HealthForceGo;
- Minimum of 3 months previous care experience;
- The desire to work to enrich the lives of the sick or vulnerable;
- Access to a smart device with internet to manage rotas via the HealthForceGo® app;
- Certification in practical Moving & Handling course, completed in the last 12 months;
- Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not mandatory.
