Our company is looking for a Field Service Engineer (Medical) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Use electronic test equipment;
  • Install and commission devices and systems;
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance;
  • Manage the respective territory in timely and efficient manner;
  • Manage the admin and reporting needs when necessary;
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders to ensure other devices are fully utilised;
  • Perform repairs and rectification work at both customer sites and in office facility;
  • Have direct interaction with customers to build relationships and promote Optima;
  • Installing single systems or large networked systems. Larger installations will be performed as part of a team;
  • Providing remote technical support via phone or remote PC access;
  • To perform preventative and routine maintenance on installed equipment in a professional manner;
  • Keep abreast of new product developments and technical product information.

Requirements:

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing diagnostic medical equipment;
  • Full UK driving licence;
  • Must be willing to travel extensively in UK and Ireland;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft desktop (and preferably server operating systems);
  • HNC, HND or degree in appropriate subject (eg: electronics, engineering or IT);
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to relate well to customers;
  • Capable of working independently and able to remain calm under pressure;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
