Our company is looking for a Private Client Lawyer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting bereaved families with probate;
  • Give advice about long term care fees and challenging local authority assessments;
  • Preparing lasting powers of attorney for ageing relatives;
  • Active involvement in business development and marketing opportunities;
  • Handling a caseload of matters including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, non-contentious probate and estate planning;
  • Advising dissatisfied beneficiaries in Estate Disputes;
  • Assisting on other matters affecting HNW client such as trusts, foreign aspects etc;
  • Preparing Court of Protection Applications for the mentally infirm;
  • Preparing wills to give clients peace of mind and avoid inheritance.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years of post-qualified experience is essential;
  • Actively proposing and participating in company marketing and business development initiatives;
  • You must be driven, self-motivated and have the ability to work using own initiative, with support and guidance also provided;
  • Experience in using a case management system is desirable;
  • The ideal candidate will have at least two years post qualification experience in all aspects of private client work;
  • Providing a high quality and effective legal service as part of the Private Client team;
  • Excellent communication skills in order to maintain longstanding client relationships;
  • Committed to providing a highly quality service;
  • You will be a proactive business developer with a keen interest in promoting both yourself and the firm at events;
  • You will be required to attend networking events and undertake business development activities in order to promote both yourself and the firm;
  • Outstanding analytical, judgement and research skills, able to determine the best course of action for your clients;
  • You will ideally be able to manage your own caseload with minimum supervision, however, supervision is available if you require it;
  • Being computer literate is essential.
