Our company is looking for a Credit Control Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Embrace the drive for continuous improvement and technological development;
  • Balance the necessity to deliver effective, robust credit control with consideration of commercial and underwriting relationships;
  • Collecting cash and monitoring payments/creating payment plans;
  • Assist with the monthly transfer of funds;
  • Process the daily receipts onto the Angel App system;
  • Reconcile the ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and correctly posted;
  • Process Commission Payments on a weekly basis;
  • Liaising with overseas agents to facilitate cash collection;
  • Processing and posting credit card payments;
  • Liaising with invoicing department on e-billing queries;
  • Posting all incoming payments daily, referring to remittance advices where necessary;
  • Maintenance of customer accounts including undertaking complex reconciliations;
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required;
  • Ensuring all invoicing queries are forwarded and resolved by the relevant departments;
  • Preparing reports of customers who have exceeded payment terms.

Requirements:

  • Flexible and willing to work as part of a team or to their own initiative;
  • Ability to prioritise workload;
  • Great attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Word & Excel;
  • Be able to work under own initiative and manage priorities in order to meet tight deadlines;
  • Have experience with Microsoft Excel and Pivot tables;
  • Understanding of multi-currency environment;
  • Be able to communicate well both in writing and verbally;
  • Possess excellent analytical skills. Be adaptable and flexible and possess the ability to manage and deliver a wide range of tasks;
  • Managing a high volume of accounts;
  • Must have experience in credit control and account management;
  • Demonstrate team work and commitment to providing the highest level of service to our customers;
  • A strong team player, capable of self-learning and easily able to assimilate within a team environment;
  • Knowledge of Agresso would be an advantage;
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or Economy would be a benefit.
