Credit Control Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Credit Control Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Embrace the drive for continuous improvement and technological development;
- Balance the necessity to deliver effective, robust credit control with consideration of commercial and underwriting relationships;
- Collecting cash and monitoring payments/creating payment plans;
- Assist with the monthly transfer of funds;
- Process the daily receipts onto the Angel App system;
- Reconcile the ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and correctly posted;
- Process Commission Payments on a weekly basis;
- Liaising with overseas agents to facilitate cash collection;
- Processing and posting credit card payments;
- Liaising with invoicing department on e-billing queries;
- Posting all incoming payments daily, referring to remittance advices where necessary;
- Maintenance of customer accounts including undertaking complex reconciliations;
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required;
- Ensuring all invoicing queries are forwarded and resolved by the relevant departments;
- Preparing reports of customers who have exceeded payment terms.
Requirements:
- Flexible and willing to work as part of a team or to their own initiative;
- Ability to prioritise workload;
- Great attention to detail;
- Knowledge of Word & Excel;
- Be able to work under own initiative and manage priorities in order to meet tight deadlines;
- Have experience with Microsoft Excel and Pivot tables;
- Understanding of multi-currency environment;
- Be able to communicate well both in writing and verbally;
- Possess excellent analytical skills. Be adaptable and flexible and possess the ability to manage and deliver a wide range of tasks;
- Managing a high volume of accounts;
- Must have experience in credit control and account management;
- Demonstrate team work and commitment to providing the highest level of service to our customers;
- A strong team player, capable of self-learning and easily able to assimilate within a team environment;
- Knowledge of Agresso would be an advantage;
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or Economy would be a benefit.
