Interim Financial Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Interim Financial Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Bank payment approvals;
- Review / Analyse the week on week / month on month accounts;
- Strong hands on financial accountant;
- Drive improved controls, processes and systems;
- Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet;
- Present P&L results monthly to the Senior Management Team;
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts, to include in–depth analysis for review by the Board;
- Capex and overhead reporting;
- Providing best-in-class technical advice – utilising your existing expertise to support brand finance teams;
- Cash-flow forecasting around fundraising and acquisition activities;
- Delivering accounts for statutory entities at a local level;
- Statutory reporting – UK GAAP / IFRS;
- Preparing consolidation journals, eliminations, group intercompany reconciliations, foreign exchange impacts;
- Reviewing, developing and maintaining appropriate accounting policies and processes ensuring compliance with governing accounting standards;
- Preparation of Quarterly Management Accounts.
Requirements:
- Ability to work to deadlines;
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified essential;
- Good working knowledge of Excel;
- Excellent personal organisation; time management and the ability to prioritise;
- Willing to be flexible with working hours and work later during busy times;
- Managing and motivating the team that you have inherited, regardless of their ability;
- Professional service background;
- Strong excel / modelling;
- Candidates must be ACA Qualified with a technical background;
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
- Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment;
- Immediately available;
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
