Payroll Advisor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of transactional and legislative processes;
- Preparing payroll reports and pay-slips for submission to clients;
- Keeping up-to-date with relevant changes in payroll legislation;
- Updating pension information where required;
- Processing payroll each week/month to tight deadlines;
- Reconcile payroll expenditure to meet finance requirements;
- Offering support and providing solutions in regards to processing: Absence, SSP/SMP/SPP, Statutory requirements and auto enrolment;
- Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and regulations;
- Composing spreadsheet formulation in relation to data and extracting data;
- Answering staff questions about wages, deductions and attendance;
- Submitting RTI;
- Preparing and inputting data into the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and confidentially of information;
- The processing of manual payments when needed;
- Processing Aviva’s payroll every pay period for roughly 17,000 employees;
- Assisting with production of P11d’s.
Requirements:
- Experience with different Payroll software such as SAP, Frontier, Chris21 & Oracle;
- Exposure to KRONOS T&A system would be advantageous;
- At least 2 years’ experience within Payroll environment;
- Experience of processing at least 5000 employees within a fast-paced environment;
- Competent with data entry and excel spreadsheets, knowledge of V-Look ups would be an advantage.
