Senior Credit Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Credit Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Any ad-hoc tasks;
- Monthly aged debt reports;
- Responding to emails;
- Fortnightly statement preparation;
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and customers to conclude all queries;
- Assistant with the design and implementation of a new finance system;
- Credit check new customers and open new credit accounts;
- Involvement with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts;
- Ensure credit and cashflow is at the forefront to minimise debt, improve cashflow and avoid debt;
- Completing monthly reporting as required;
- Raising credit notes;
- Work closely with our credit insurers to ensure that appropriate cover is in place and that we have reduced risk where possible;
- Working to weekly and monthly deadlines;
- Credit control by telephone letter and email;
- Ad hoc Duties as Requested.
Requirements:
- Previous Credit Control experience (at least 6 months);
- Able to work in a fast paced environment;
- Previous experience in implementing a new finance system;
- Good time management skills;
- Able to produce, manage and present debtor reports;
- Understanding of account categories;
- Previous experience working in a similar role and/or environment for a minimum of three years;
- Property or council industry experience would be preferred;
- Problem solver & solutions orientated;
- Strong commercial awareness;
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping and credit control processes;
- Organised;
- Experience within Credit Control and chasing invoices;
- Interpersonal and team-working skills;
- Ability to delegate and manage the work of others.
