Senior Program Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership;
- Represents VMware by participating on the steering committee;
- Identification and Assistance with Business Development Opportunities;
- Delivery Revenue Forecasting and Recognition;
- Executive-level Communication and Stakeholder management;
- Is the escalation point for customers and PM’s;
- Maintain and implement an up to date project time schedule; this has to indicate clearly the critical path of activities and any deviations from plan;
- Management of all personnel on site including sub-contractors;
- Deal with the customer on all contractual matters, including claim management with office support as necessary;
- Co-ordinate the specification of, and trigger procurement of equipment, products and services together with appropriate departments;
- Ensure all RAMS are reviewed and logged;
- Communicate effectively and influence business and technical decision makers;
- Obtain signed handover of contracts;
- Remain the focal point for the customer to the end of the warranty period;
- Co-ordinate and check all technical interfaces and activities. Ensure design meets contract requirements, with office engineering support as necessary.
Requirements:
- An ability to work well within fast – paced, ambiguous situations where you need to define the problem, goal, solution and see it through to the end;
- Experience working with enterprise customers on difficult, technical issues and developing innovative, creative solutions;
- Knowledge of the MDM (Mobile Device Management), including Windows, iOS, Mac and Android;
- Highly self-driven with an ability to work very independently;
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality deliverables;
- Ability to work within a team and provide the leadership for the PS engagement;
- Demonstrable ability at successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Up 50% travel;
- BSc/BA/MSc/MBA degree or equivalent training/experience;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Strong leadership, effective communication skills, and great team and cross-group collaboration skills;
- Self-motivated and curious, with a growth mindset, with the ability to structure complex problems and think creatively;
- Experience working with top tier customers C suite and across the customer and Microsoft internal stakeholder landscape co-developing solutions;
- 5+ years of experience working on solutions that collect, process, store and analyze large volumes of business-critical data;
- 5+ years software engineering or technical program management experience.
