Senior Security Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Euronet Security Standard yearly targets are met and work with the SSO to identify the required action plan;
- Security-related certifications;
- Build and maintain systems to monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users;
- 5+ years of experience dealing with computing security issues and threats;
- Work with various stakeholders in different teams to establish relationships in order to drive various security projects;
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Perl, Python);
- Lead the charge in identifying security risks and mitigation plans;
- Conduct a minimum of quarterly validation of security implementations and compliance including regulatory requirements;
- Engage in design and review processes, ensuring that security is embedded in the design of any new project;
- Stay up to date with developments in cybersecurity and cloud security;
- Maintain required security documentation including policies, procedures and guides and be the liaison with the internal and external audit teams;
- Network and system design;
- Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP);
- Build and maintain systems to monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity;
- Evaluate emergent threats (eg vulnerabilities, day-zero attacks) and implement proportional responses.
