Temporary Credit Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Temporary Credit Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing sales ledger;
- Resolving sales queries;
- Negotiating payment plans;
- Setting up of terms and conditions of credit;
- Providing administrative support to the team;
- To support line manager with ad hoc duties as required;
- To provide support and guidance to staff acting as an escalation point for internal and external issues in order to eradicate bad practices;
- Collecting aged debt via telephone and emails;
- Credit checking new customers;
- To meet accounting deadlines, in order to achieve the companies reporting requirements;
- Investigation and resolution of queries, correction of errors and differences;
- Resolving queries both internally and externally;
- Ensuring payment plans are set and abide to;
- Ensure DSO status is maintained;
- Collection of unpaid and overdue invoices.
Requirements:
- Ability to organise/prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Takes pride in delivering a high quality, high accuracy tasks under strict deadlines;
- Oracle experience;
- Proficient in Word and Excel;
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills (basic formulas and manipulation essential, Macro writing desirable);
- Ability to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines with support where required;
- Articulate and able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients;
- Previous experience in Credit Control is essential;
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with people at all levels both internally and externally;
- Experience of working within a finance administration environment.
