Our company is looking for a VP of Product to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the customer by building impactful, personal relationships, championing them and bringing their voice into the product creation process;
  • Work with sales and marketing to enable the sales and go to market strategy according the roadmap;
  • Own our KPI’s, metrics and acquisition numbers inside and out and be prepared to discuss growth objectives at the drop of a hat;
  • Own the delivery and clear messaging of strategy and goals to Product teams and ensuring delivery against them;
  • Engage directly, where appropriate, with clients and support commercial efforts;
  • Keep abreast of product trends and explore opportunities for product innovation to ensure a best in class product experience;
  • Lead and define product mission, strategy and management practices at a leadership and business level in a period of critical business growth;
  • Define and implement working practices for Product Management as a function and approach to engagement with other functions;
  • Define the overall product vision with founders and own the resulting product roadmap in partnership with the executive team;
  • As a member of the management team, contribute to the overall business strategy. Aid in the identification of new opportunities;
  • Develop a numbers-driven product operations function that can focus the board and management on where we are and should be spending our R&D money;
  • Continuously drive process development: improvement in ideation, conceptualization, implementation and qualification of new features;
  • Look beyond where the market is today, and ensure that the company maintains a competitive advantage;
  • Champion the user experience and promote great design practices;
  • As the team starts scaling, hire and mentor great product managers and product designers to build a world class team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience growing and developing product teams (ideally from 5 to 10 and beyond);
  • ML and AI: Experience employing ML and AI around and embedded in products;
  • Defining platform growth KPIs to inform investment decisions;
  • Ideally, experience in modern SaaS software companies;
  • Ideally, experience dealing with SKUs or products that have data challenges and opportunities;
  • Complexity: has led the development of complex products with a broad range of competing priorities;
  • Domain: B2B Software (Enterprise and/or SME);
  • Leadership: Build, motivate and retain a high performing, flexible product team capable of delivering best-in-class product;
  • Still technical: Strong commercial awareness underpinned by product and technical expertise;
  • Strategic: will be a good adviser to the leadership team, will demonstrate good market insights (customers, competitors and partners);
  • Strong on voice of the customer (listens well to customers and is able to synthesize and validate feedback);
  • Deep analytical skills and demonstrable track record of a data-driven approach to product management;
  • Strong ability to collaborate with C-level executives and work collaboratively with a driven leadership team;
  • Familiarity and comfort with data, data science including the ability to use data to analyse and monitor product KPI metrics;
  • Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage trade-offs of a scaling growth company and near term contracts with long term vision.
