Our company is looking for a Technical Writer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve online developer training;
  • Developer documentation for Corda and Corda Enterprise;
  • Overall content strategy to influence the thinking and approaches used by our developer and IT professional audiences;
  • Lead content editing for the Corda blog;
  • Subject matter expert for deployment and operations documentation for Corda and Corda Enterprise;
  • Mentoring more junior peers so they can make meaningful and timely contributions to the Corda and Corda Enterprise documentation;
  • Own the localisation process for relevant documentation;
  • Examples of documentation you will produce are: user guides, API documentation, deployment guides and performance tuning guides;
  • Be comfortable working on multiple documentation projects in parallel, and produce high quality deliverables on time and in a predictable manner.

Requirements:

  • Enjoy working in an open, collaborative style both in management and cross-functional working and have a positive, solution-focused approach;
  • A self-motivated individual with an analytical mindset, an inquisitive nature and with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Have a proven track record of translating technical subjects and jargon into understandable text;
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Technical Author/ Technical Writer in an agile software organisation (ideally with both mobile/web products);
  • Familiarity with the software development process is a plus;
  • Excellent communication skills, showing consistency, clarity, and a strong attention to detail;
  • 5+ years of technical writing experience;
  • Experience using multiple authoring tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and with grammatical accuracy;
  • Familiarity with software development processes;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Experience in Markdown, Git or Swagger is a plus;
  • Ability to proactively identify documentation gaps, and work to address them;
  • Familiarity with producing online (web-based) API documentation is a plus;
  • Experience interviewing experts such as software developers to elicit essential content.
