Stock Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Stock Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Warehouse Manager and logistics team to set up stock management systems to manage the groups assets both Electrical and Gas;
- To be in control of stock movements resulting in maximum stock accuracy;
- Issuing forecasts to suppliers on a weekly/monthly basis;
- Working in conjunction with the Purchasing team to highlight & resolve foreseeable issues;
- Customers have a slick and speedy checkout experience;
- Procuring new products from suppliers both existing and new;
- To undertake comprehensive training of administration staff in order to facilitate adequate cover during periods of holiday absence;
- To manage slow moving products and removals of delisted products;
- Customers are always able to get the products they need;
- Manage day to day non-core activity;
- Complete stock check records;
- Liaise with customers informing them of any delays and resolving queries;
- Customers leave our store feeling valued and satisfied;
- Organise audits and control of Engineers stock;
- To promote good relations with external and internal suppliers.
Requirements:
- A Minimum of 3 years warehouse/stock control experience;
- Good knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft & Sage (or similar systems);
- Ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines;
- Communication;
- Accuracy and attention to detail;
- Solid time management and problem solving ability;
- Customer focused;
- Level 2 Qualification in Maths and English;
- Problem solving;
- Knowledge and understanding of stock control /stock;
- Knowledge and understanding of food manufacturing;
- Previous experience in a stock related position;
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels;
- Analytical approach and strong problem solving skills;
- Passion for improving systems, specifically ERP and Warehouse management systems.
