Our company is looking for a Baker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Make hand made bread;
- prepare bread, rolls, danish, muffins and biscuits for guests and crew members;
- carefully handle relevant equipment and machinery in the galley;
- help with the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items;
- lead bakery demonstrations for guests as per daily program;
- helps avoid wastage;
- To take ownership and finish and bake of all the breakfast items by 6.30am;
- To be confident and make the amount of bread rolls according to the forward figures;
- To take ownership and be confident in the making of the breakfast items for the next day.
Requirements:
- self-motivation, reliability and creativity;
- specialist in baked goods with professional baker qualification;
- experience as baker in restaurants, hotels or on cruise vessels;
- ability to communicate efficiently with the Executive Chef and the rest of the team in English or German;
- Previous relevant experience desirable not not necessary;
- Cost and quality awareness.
