Quality Inspector Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with internal quality audits in line with the auditing schedule and ISO9001:2015;
- Conversant with ISO 9001 specifications;
- Report any non-conformances to our Quality Engineer and support root cause analysis so corrective action can be taken swiftly;
- Ultrasonic testing of white metal bearings;
- Producing inspection reports and FAIRs;
- Signing of C of C’s and EASA Form 1’s;
- Analyse /report on delivery OTIF (on time in full);
- Discus inspection results with those responsible for the product;
- Handling complaints, rejects, and taking quick and effective corrective and preventive action;
- Assist in the translation of customer requirements into Quality plans / Work Instructions;
- Keeping relevant records up-to-date;
- General warehouse duties;
- Reporting damages, cracks or any faulty problems with the automotive parts;
- Create SOP’S (standard operation procedures);
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
Requirements:
- Familiar with general inspection techniques using traditional manual measuring equipment;
- Documentation for records;
- Good mathematics;
- Measuring of internal / External Spline gauges / gears;
- Experience of working towards AS9100 standard – essential;
- Good understanding and experience of working in quality control;
- Ability to take the initiative and where appropriate to work with the minimum of supervision;
- Computer literate and have a high attention to detail;
- Ensuring quality targets are achieved;
- Career experience using hand held metrology instruments and precision CMM machine;
- Experience with planning and routing sheets;
- Auditing systems and processes;
- Work within and promote a team environment;
- Experience of NCR, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis;
- Use of precision measuring equipment.
