Toolmaker / Manual Machinist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Toolmaker / Manual Machinist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that tooling is repaired and refurbished as necessary within the limits of the tool room capabilities;
- Bench work;
- Produce and repair jigs and fixtures as requested;
- To support manufacturing in achieving customer satisfaction, quality and production output targets;
- Operating Manual Lathes, Mills, EDM and grinding machines;
- Experienced operating Toolroom machinery;
- To repair and /or maintain all tooling.
Requirements:
- Experience operating manual mills and lathes;
- A flexible attitude;
- It would be beneficial if the candidate had experience on CNC Milling machines;
- Apprenticeship trained;
- Enthusiasm, loyalty, flexibility, the ability to work with team members and a caring attitude towards the job;
- Ability to operate Tool room machinery;
- Good communication skills;
- Read engineering drawings.
