Our company is looking for a Graduate Sales Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify problems that need resolving and seek to find processes to address the issues;
  • Support the wider team in each placement and participate in lean and business improvement opportunities including High Performance Teams;
  • Provide a first line of response to queries in their functional area from internal and external contacts;
  • Have responsibility for managing your own workload during each placement, responding directly to requests;
  • Develop knowledge and skills required for each placement undertaken;
  • Seek to maximise learning opportunities within each placement;
  • Number 1 in the UK market;
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers to create a continuous pipeline of orders;
  • Liaise closely with the engineering department to ensure proposals are fit for purpose;
  • Full Graduate Sales Training;
  • Understand technical engineering drawings to ensure the most appropriate solutions are sought for the customer;
  • Receive enquiry and then create a quotation for the customer in a timely and efficient manner;
  • Global organisation with a multi-million-pound turnover.

Requirements:

  • Must have geographical flexibility to move to any Parker location both during and upon completion of the programme;
  • Have excellent communication skills with a focus on accuracy, detail and deadlines;
  • Must be fluent in English, a second European language would be beneficial;
  • Previous Sales or Commercial experience;
  • Weekly Structure: 2 Office Days, 3 Field Days;
  • Direct Sales position to which you will be delegated your own territory;
  • To be a key contributor to our dynamic, close knit sales team;
  • Extremely positive and enthusiastic individual with natural sales ability;
  • A hunger to succeed and over achieve;
  • Must have a full driving licence, valid in the UK;
  • Degree qualified in an engineering OR IT discipline;
  • Strong business acumen and common sense;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Team player, sociable and personable;
  • An interest in technology, eager and able to learn.
