Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison with the internal support team to address any client issues or concerns;
  • Increase the companys sales and profitability;
  • Customer Relationship Management with existing growing customers, growing profitable sales through value selling and cross-selling;
  • Demonstrate basic level of our software functionality to prospective clients;
  • Effectively communicate customer technical requirements to internal teams;
  • Update and maintain customer and prospective contacts, internal systems and respond and follow up all sales enquiries;
  • Provide appropriate documentation, analysis and progress reporting on information as required;
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims;
  • Management of databases to manage customer product information;
  • Planning and prioritising your area sales and customer activities;
  • Answering RFI and service detail requests;
  • Regularly attend exhibitions, promoting the company at all times;
  • Technical sales;
  • Effectively demonstrate our market positioning;
  • Consistent achievement of agreed quarterly and annual sales order in-take targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience of CRM systems;
  • Proven and demonstrable track record of consistently achieving sales targets, and engaging prospects through the entire sales cycle;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Salesforce administrator qualification or similar;
  • Highly organised with effective prioritisation skills;
  • Desirable: Experience in working in a consultative environment;
  • “Degree” level intellect;
  • Have a strong bias and interest towards technical and project management within an engineering environment;
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar/equivalent qualification;
  • Full driving licence;
  • A genuine interest in agricultural engineering would be advantageous to this role;
  • Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team;
  • Mechanical engineering background;
  • Experience of selling the components into aerospace/automotive OEM market or similar;
  • Site measurement experience.
