Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Support Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide customers both internal and external with the a high standard of customer service;
  • Inspection, diagnosis and reporting of product returns;
  • Supporting the promotion of products (UK show room tours and occasionally via trade shows);
  • To ensure any task/enquiry allocated by the Chief Technical Sales Support Engineer completed on time;
  • To ensure that a high standard of both technical and catalogued product support is afforded to customers, both internal and external;
  • To provide the best possible response to incoming enquires, whether by telephone, fax or e-mail;
  • To technically support the UK’s Sales Force (occasionally via visiting customers);
  • To support customers of products via telephone / e-mail / face to face;
  • Training customers and Sales Engineers on products;
  • To undertake the proposal order process;
  • To undertake the New Product Price Request process;
  • Work in a small team to ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the department;
  • To undertake Trade Counter duties as and when required;
  • Management of customer special product requests.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in electro-mechanical based engineering;
  • An engineering qualification;
  • Must be able to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions whilst achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, good presentation and reporting skills and an excellent communicator;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel and Word;
  • Experience in a Technical Sales role, particularly Process, Mechanical & Instrumentation related;
  • Commercial awareness when liaising with both customers & supply chain;
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings;
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner and be able to present to others.
