Internal Sales Engineer Valves Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Internal Sales Engineer Valves to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot / problem solve issues, escalating any urgent issues immediately to management;
- Carry out negotiations with clients to assess their needs, tailoring all bids and tenders to suit customer demand;
- Ensure all sales procedures and rules are understood and followed;
- Ensure that business systems and tools, including SAP, are used effectively and in line with business requirements;
- Ensure that BOMs and work instructions are created and distributed effectively;
- Support the General Manager and wider MRC team in the execution of our local and international contracts;
- Working closely with the General Sales Manager to establish the best commercial and technical offer to meet clients needs;
- Provide sales support for other colleagues in the team and advise on best practice and protocol;
- Collate and produce regular reports as required;
- Meet the quote and order processing KPIs and maintain CRM data accurately and promptly;
- Any other ad-hoc duties that may be delegated by management that are within the capabilities of the Internal Sales Engineer;
- Liaise with clients and attend client visits to follow up and secure bids as required.
Requirements:
- Technical sales experience – with valves and/or automation experience preferable;
- Proven track record of working to tight deadlines;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Computer literate ideally experience with SAP or similar in-house ordering system;
- Educated to HND level or equivalent;
- Engineering background ideally mechanical or automation;
- An understanding of oil and gas industry specifications is preferable.
