Our company is looking for a Solicitor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain your continuing professional development requirements and take an active interest in furthering your knowledge within the field of law;
- Attend to clients of the Firm in the office or elsewhere if needed;
- Communicate promptly and effectively both internally to colleagues and externally to clients;
- To undertake advocacy at all levels of Court/at Tribunals as appropriate, including the preparation and management of cases;
- To ensure that a responsive and cost-effective service is provided to officers and service departments;
- Actively marketing the Employment law team in conjunction with other Team members and other Teams in order to develop the firm’s client base;
- assisting clients in negotiations with regard to termination and addressing issues e.g., Settlement Agreements;
- Provide employment advice and assistance to the firm’s clients and prospective clients;
- advising with regard to TUPE issues;
- Motor claims, including cycle and pedestrian claims;
- Develop market and sector knowledge and demonstrate expertise to clients, families, case managers, IFA’s, therapists in a MDT approach;
- preparing bespoke contracts and advising with regard to implications e.g., secondment and consultancy agreements;
- Faulty cosmetic injuries;
- Accidents occurred in schools and on holidays;
- advising with regard to disciplinary and grievance issues and procedures.
Requirements:
- Flexibility;
- Proven experience in a similar role;
- You will be ambitious and dynamic;
- You will have experience in a range of Commercial Litigation matters;
- You will work well in a team;
- Experience working on Medical related negligence files;
- 2+ years PQE;
- Attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills.
