Our company is looking for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure market knowledge is continuously developed and maintained;
- Assess customer affordability in order to lend responsibly and in line with regulations;
- Generate telephone appointment activity and follow up leads from potential customers to convert into sales;
- Achieve set individual targets in a variety of areas and contribute towards the overall performance of the team;
- Recommend the most suitable product to suit the customer’s needs, priorities and circumstances within a regulatory environment;
- researching the marketplace and providing clients with information on new and existing products and services;
- contacting clients and setting up meetings, either within an office environment or in clients’ homes;
- Handle all applications in a timely manner so the introducing firm and customer are satisfied with the progression of their mortgage application;
- Make outbound calls to financial intermediary firms, ensuring they understand the scope of our product and service offering;
- To demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills;
- To make informed decisions whilst being aware of the consequences;
- An ability to work on own initiative and meet set timescales;
- A recognition and regard for observing confidentiality;
- To be highly self-motivated and organised, and to encourage others likewise;
- To actively keep updated with the company’s services, procedures, best practice and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience within a call centre environment, following up on leads with a proven track record of closing Sales;
- Ability to respond quickly to training and adapt to changes within the industry;
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or above;
- Experience working towards FCA regulated Sales targets;
- CeMAP qualification would be a huge advantage but not essential;
- Self-motivated upbeat personality with proven longevity throughout your career to date;
- The ability to plan and prioritise your own work load;
- Ability to demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills;
