Production Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Production Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating documentation on company system;
- Tracking delivery shipments;
- Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers;
- Assist the site pillar teams on any administrative duties;
- Talking to customers over the telephone and by email;
- Process orders through “Magicut” for cutting/machining;
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development;
- Maintain established paper and computer-based filing systems;
- Organise orders for production;
- Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records;
- To check the payroll and time and attendance system daily and make the necessary adjustments to ensure payroll is accurate;
- Liaising with other departments including sales and purchasing;
- Create pension schedules and weekly shifts plan;
- Action purchase requests from all departments ensuring best price and quality;
- To negotiate with suppliers to achieve best prices and efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Strong planning, prioritising, and organisation skills;
- Proactive, “hands-on” approach;
- Due to location this role would suit a car driver;
- Experience of working within the constraints of a company with reporting disciplines;
- Experience of production/distribution within a similar role would be an advantage, a strong administrative background is essential;
- Excellent knowledge of excel;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- Experience of working with multiple suppliers, utilising strong communication and negotiation skills;
- An aptitude for using electronic resource planning (ERP) systems and excellent skills with Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Organised and calm under pressure;
- Creative;
- Good communicator (written and verbal) at all times;
- Good time management skills;
- Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player;
- Ability to work on own initiative.
