Contract Surveyor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Contract Surveyor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control Inspections on-site;
- Project programming;
- Increase GP on projects;
- Producing valuations;
- Factory liaison on design coordinating with client up to sign off at pre- construction stage;
- Cost Control and CVR Reporting;
- Cashflow Forecasting for projects;
- Detection of variation opportunities and evaluating for client instruction;
- Client liaison;
- Procurement of all contractors throughout the duration of project;
- Prepare accurate technical advice in all matters instructed by the relevant manager;
- Assess component life cycles & “green” credentials in all surveys;
- Carry out diagnostic inspections & surveys under the instruction of the relevant manager in accordance with Group practice;
- To manage insurance claims from inception to completion as instructed by the relevant manager;
- To manage cases of legal disrepair from claim to settlement as instructed by the relevant manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn new skills;
- Management ability;
- Construction Management / Quantity Surveying degree or HND level qualification;
- Groundworks experience;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet fast track deadlines;
- Enthusiastic and positive;
- Previous experience in the construction industry;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Packages;
- Health & Safety Trained / Nebosh (Ideally);
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
- Experience in surveying high-end and listed properties;
- Surveying qualification or similar i.e. Building Management;
- Ability to represent the company to the client;
- CSCS Card;
- Understanding of historic/listed buildings.
