Graduate Geotechnical Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with project bidding and proposal drafting;
- Undertake geotechnical analytical work, create and maintain spreadsheets, in-house developed tools, and databases;
- Prepare and assist with review, analysis and interpretation of geotechnical data;
- Assist with report writing and writing Technical Notes;
- Undertake R&D projects including developing innovative engineering tools and solutions;
- Attend regular internal meeting and external / third party meetings as required;
- Work on a variety of offshore wind projects, including those in development and construction;
- Prepare and assist with technical inputs on projects, particularly of geotechnical aspects;
- Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies;
- All other tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
Requirements:
- Carrying out Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies;
- Full UK vehicle driving licence;
- Contributing to projects as team member developing business relationships, communicating with the client(s);
- Developing project management skills appropriate to your level and background;
- Supervising field technicians and (earthwork and drilling) subcontractors;
- Assisting with various field activities, including assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and leading geotechnical investigations;
- Developing and implementing geotechnical field investigations and laboratory testing programs;
- Offshore work can be provided if desired;
