Our company is looking for a Principal Piping Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule;
- Maintain DO planning control on all scopes for a given Asset;
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process;
- Prepare DO estimates and schedules and assist in their review;
- Management of third party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery;
- Supporting task delegation to team;
- Interact with multi-discipline engineering teams;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project/contract interfaces;
- Coaching and mentoring as delegated;
- Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement;
- Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development;
- Participate in audits and incident investigations as required;
- Manage and supervise direct reports;
- Executing assigned scopes of work;
- Executing assigned personal objectives.
Requirements:
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn;
- HNC / HND or equivalent professional qualification with relevant considerable experience;
- Flexible with a can-do attitude;
- Intellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical context;
- Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position;
- Conversant with codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation applicable to draughting function;
- Professional demeanor, interpersonal skills;
- HNC or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject;
- Conversant with company quality control assurance requirements applicable to draughting function;
- Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting for draughting function;
- Able to estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work;
- Current Bosiet & MIST;
- Experienced in the supervision of discipline designers and draughtspersons;
- Experienced senior designer with sound technical background and in depth knowledge of CAD draughting techniques;
- PDMS Experience.
