Our company is looking for a Group Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting technical support to the business on proposed ventures and impact assessments of new financial reporting standards;
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS standards;
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity;
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for various entities within the Group;
  • Develop and undertake internal audits of companies within the group to ensure compliance with group policies;
  • Project accounting including financial analysis;
  • Working with CFO, Group FC and FP&A manager with various ad-hoc improvement projects;
  • Maintain statutory registers and tax authorities reporting requirements;
  • WIP and stock accounting;
  • Responsible for the production of the financial statements for the Group Annual Report and interim report;
  • Responsible for managing the external audit;
  • Involved with developing system infrastructure (consolidation of VIE, mapping of COA, BSR reconciliations, group consolidation);
  • Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by Group and UK Finance teams;
  • Communicate effectively with the Group Controller, CFO and other team members to enable timely integration of acquisitions and strong group controls;
  • Prepare cash-flow forecasts to ensure cash is managed efficient and effectively and manage working capital.

Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge of specific IBM Products – Cognos Controller (desirable);
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks;
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables;
  • Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA);
  • Experience with external audit and liaising with external auditors;
  • Qualified / newly qualified accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent;
  • Previous experience of working in a large accounting firm/professional services environment is desirable;
  • Manage the corporation tax compliance process for relevant companies;
  • A quick learner with high expectations and personal standards – with a passion to get things right and able to work to tight deadlines;
  • IT literate with systems experience and good excel skills;
  • Support group treasury requirements;
  • Statutory reporting experience;
  • Good technical reporting skills;
  • Develop and undertake internal audits of companies within the group to ensure compliance with group policies;
