Integration Specialist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Integration Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the functional leads to analyse and translate the business requirements into technical integration requirements;
- Ensure Alignment between all parties for the successful execution of integration User Acceptance Testing;
- Take responsibility for the technical engagement with 3rd parties to determine the integration methodology and mapping to data schemas;
- Maintain a high standard of code and design documentation, ensuring all relevant systems and data comply with IT standards and procedures;
- Work with the Lead Integration Developer in the development and assessment of all interfaces required to support application integration;
- Ensure successful delivery of systems integration from 3rd party and internal systems;
- Manage workload to a high standard, ensuring delivery to timescales and quality;
- Seek opportunities for automation and leverage Agile and DevOps to optimise delivery practices, working across teams to ensure successful adoption;
- Identify modifications needed in existing services to meet changing user requirements.
Requirements:
- Working experience in PHP programming and relational databases – MySQL;
- SOAP / REST Web Services;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Detail-oriented and a problem solver;
- Experience with SaaS integrations (Salesforce preferred);
- Exposure to financial data integration (SAP/SAP B1 preferred);
- Knowledge of relational databases, data integration, messaging bus and ETL tools plus SQL;
- Experience in software development and delivery;
- Integration Experience – Mulesoft strongly preferred or with a comparable API and ESB in a technology-related field;
- Experience with large-scale system design and integration tasks;
- The familiarity of standards such as SOAP/XML, REST/JSON API’s and tools such as GitHub;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
