Our company is looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop a thorough understanding and insight into the company’s consumer base and customer traffic;
  • Reporting on the performance of online advertising;
  • Manipulate and analyse small and large data sets using suitable software (e.g. Microsoft Excel, R, SPSS, SAS, and Power Bi);
  • Analysing marketing data to help optimise campaigns;
  • Maintain datasets used by Marketing Intelligence Team and update or improve when necessary;
  • Seek feedback on service provided to internal stakeholders and adapting approaches to work when necessary;
  • Analyse web traffic metrics and create relevant dashboard;
  • Explain systems and procedures to colleagues e.g. procurement and straightforward software procedures;
  • Manage annually occurring projects e.g. data analysis to inform tuition fee setting;
  • Manage advertising budgets and analyse / optimise spend across different digital channels;
  • Manage external web developer/Shopify consultant;
  • Provide monthly report on all digital marketing activities and thorough evaluation and recommendations;
  • Undertake desk-based competitor, market and industry research;
  • Optimise online sales (where we anticipate strong growth);
  • Assisting in budget management.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a marketplace business;
  • Experience with the typical Python machine learning stack (numpy, SciPy, pandas, scikit-learn etc.);
  • Self motivated with proof that you can take initiative to understand the key business questions;
  • Very comfortable with SQL and keen to become an absolute stand-out expert;
  • A super strong analytical background with proof to back this up including graduate level Maths/Science, or equivalent demonstrable experience;
  • Excellent handle of Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills, including sharing of complex or technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Significant experience defining and delivering insight projects for a marketing function;
  • Proven ability to analyse customer behaviour;
  • Clear and succinct presentation skills;
  • A real team player with a passion to drive growth for the business;
  • Experience of Agile/Lean working practices;
  • Significant experience defining and delivering reporting.
