IT Systems Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Systems Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- New server purchases, set up, configuration and installation;
- Travel to both domestic and international locations;
- Develop, publish and adhere to standards, policies, and procedures;
- Plan, design, deploy, upgrade knowledge;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Complete assigned tasks and normal duties with limited direct supervision;
- Able to stay away from home occasionally;
- Maintenance and support of Azure / Office 365 (including MS Teams and SharePoint);
- Working with the equivalent in our US office to standardise systems and policies across the company;
- Managing and renewal of IT-related contracts;
- Monitoring critical systems (backups, server status, firewall, etc);
- Installing and setting up new user machines/workstations;
- Maintain a sound technical knowledge of latest hardware and software products;
- 1st/2nd line support;
- IT security management and administration.
Requirements:
- Excellent Windows operating system (Windows 7 & Windows 10);
- Customer interaction skills;
- Solid knowledge of iSCSI and server cluster services;
- Office 365 / Exchange 2010;
- Safety conscience;
- Active Directory;
- Experience working within a manufacturing / production environment requiring the use of PPE;
- Incident control management;
- Extremely tech-savvy/excellent technical skills with an ability to pick up new technologies quickly;
- Microsoft Exchange experience;
- SC Cleared / ability to gain SC clearance;
- An understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies to the role;
- Server build experience;
- Good technical knowledge;
- Firewall and general network administration.
