Test Development Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Test Development Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide “Product Test” inputs to the cross-functional team throughout new product development and ramp to production;
- TCL scripting needed to understand and update different tools;
- Basic electrical knowledge and avionics needed to interact with stakeholders;
- TCL scripting is needed to update the configuration of the rig;
- Basic hardware equipment knowledge to update PCs and cards used within the rigs;
- Website development knowledge (PHP) needed to understand and update the landing gear test website;
- Tortoise SVN knowledge to track configuration changes;
- Tortoise SVN knowledge needed to track configuration changes;
- C, C++, C# scripting needed to understand and updates different tools.
Requirements:
- Capable of working individually and as part of a team;
- Experience in the Aerospace industry, preferably working with Airbus (but not necessarily);
- Availability at any time to support test engineers working on the rig (reactive support);
- Customer facing;
- Some knowledge of project management expected (likely to take the role of EPL);
- Excellent prioritisation skills;
- Capable of working autonomously (or becoming autonomous quickly after ramp up is completed);
- Analytical, investigative and problem solving.
