Our company is looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that engineering records are accurately maintained and presented in a timely manner;
- To uphold and exceed standards of product quality and GMP within their area that are appropriate to an industry-leading quality food manufacturer;
- Electrical Diagnostic work of PLC systems;
- Ensuring all environmental, health and safety requirements are met;
- Implement and support rapid breakdown fault finding and rectification;
- Fan Coils- servicing and fault finding;
- Able to recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions;
- Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of complex production machinery & ancillaries;
- Plc’s / controls Siemens, Fanuc & more;
- Assist other trades as and when necessary;
- 3-phase electrical maintenance, fault find & repair;
- Ensuring good communication;
- Maintaining electrical systems and operations;
- Senior or team leader experience would be desirable but not essential;
- Initiating improvment in practices, systems and procedures.
Requirements:
- Understanding of PLC’s;
- Electrical/mechanical qualifications;
- Trouble shoot and repair equipment and systems which include Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic and PLC;
- Installation & commissioning of industrial machinery;
- Ensure full compliance with all appropriate standards and legislation;
- Ability to work at height;
- City and Guilds 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent;
- be able to carry out PPM on machinery;
- 3+ years’ experience within a Manufacturing environment;
- Electrical ability essential, additional mechanical also required;
- Time served engineering apprenticeship advantageous;
- Basic understanding of control systems and techniques;
- Experience in a heavy industrial environment advantageous;
- Three-Phase electric experience desirable;
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar maintenance capacity.
