Plasterer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Plasterer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Rendering an interior wall;
- patch plastering;
- Apply coats of plaster to lath or masonry base with appropriate tools, guaranteeing a smooth and uniform finish with the use of floats and darbies;
- Coating of external surfaces;
- Plaster repairs;
- Hang sheets to protect doors and windows from wet plaster and remove light switch covers;
- Create decorative textures with a variety of techniques, such as a Venetian plaster texture or the use of pebble spattering;
- Produce finished interior surfaces on ceilings, walls and partitions, according to verbal instructions, blueprints or drawings from architects;
- Coat walls with plaster and go over the undercoat to make sure the final coat is flawless and requires few touchups;
- Prepare walls and ceilings for stucco and cement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 recent work reference contacts;
- Keen eye for detail;
- Valid CSCS card and relevant PPE;
- The ability to work within a fast paced construction environment;
- Strong ability in tracing, diagnosing and rectifying faults;
- Demonstrate through knowledge the skills, technology and safety procedures within the field;
- Programming and maintaining work within domestic and commercial premises;
- Knowledge of drawing and systematic drawings;
- Have customer and client driven attitude to maintain a relationship with them;
- Preparing and plastering walls;
- Experience of working within Building Construction and Maintenance Industry;
- The ability to work to NHBC Standards.
