Site Supervisor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Site Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure the safety of all site users, visitors, staff and contractors at the site;
- Handle emergencies appropriately according to established procedures; prepare and file accident reports;
- Work with Contract Manager and Business Manager to plan and programme contract works including forward programming;
- Raise SORs (positive and negative);
- Ensure Safe Plans of Action (SPAs) / dynamic risk assessments are completed by the subcontractor and reviewed as necessary;
- Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety;
- Conducting inspections and identifying problems daily to ensure they don’t lead to budget overruns;
- Motivating the workforce;
- Requisitioning relevant plant, machinery and materials;
- Ensuring we meet all statutory regulations related to health and safety, fire safety, etc. and keeping appropriate records;
- Maintaining quality control procedures;
- Monitor ongoing construction to ensure that the work is being done correctly and the project stays on schedule;
- Be honest and reliable;
- Ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards;
- Produce documentation and progress reports for the Project Manager.
Requirements:
- Managing all trades and materials;
- Internals – especially dry lining experience;
- Residential experience;
- Reporting to Site Manager;
- Experience working within Civil Engineering – RC frame / groundworks / structures / highways / etc;
- A relevant educational background in civil engineering or having worked up “from the tools”
- BESC / Person/ NG competent person NSI 6, 8 & 8 Enhanced;
- First-Aid;
- PC Literate on MS suite i.e. Word, Excel;
- Any relevant qualifications would be useful – SSSTS/SMSTS, NRSWA, CSCS Card, First Aid at Work, etc;
- Hold SSTS;
- Strong Management and leadership skills.
