Our company is looking for a Business Studies Teacher to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching KS3 and KS4 Business Studies as a subject specialist;
- Development and improvement of Business Studies resources within the department;
- Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme;
- Displaying yourself as a positive role model to the students at all times;
- Consistently teaching high quality lessons to meet a range of abilities and knowledge levels and moulding your style to the class;
- Occasionally, you may supervise pupils during events and projects outside of the classroom such as cultural outings, field trips and excursions;
- Paid lunchtime supervisor and bus monitor shifts available on request;
- Adhering to the school’s safeguarding, behaviour management and health & safety policies and procedures at all times;
- ensuring reporting of the students’ progress in this subject is professional and informative with clear targets set;
- liaising with parents/carers to offer information and guidance;
- monitoring of and being accountable for student attainment and progress;
- Starting ASAP;
- ensuring the school policies are adhered to and consistently implemented;
- being accountable to the Principal and the Deputy Head for your standards of teaching and learning;
- ensuring that the departmental resources and equipment are well cared for.
Requirements:
- You must have legal right to work in the UK;
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview;
- Experience teaching Business Studies to A-Level including BTEC and CTEC;
- Commitment to a long-term contract;
- QTS;
- Having a DBS already on the Update Service or the willingness to complete a new DBS application;
- Bachelor degree in Business Economy;
- Fresh graduate can also apply and join teacher training program;
- Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE or B.Ed;
- Proficiency certificates (IELTS 7 Academic / 7.5 General as per ministry requirement for non-native English speakers).
