Early Years Educator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Early Years Educator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Singing, role play and story telling;
- Liaising with management and parents;
- working as part of a team;
- Light cleaning duties and helping to prepare snacks;
- Playing with the children and interacting;
- Assist with feeding;
- Participating in activities with the children eg reading, numeracy, literacy activities;
- Outdoor play;
- General cleaning;
- Contribute to the everyday running of the Nursery;
- Enthusiasm when providing a fun stimulating environment for the children;
- Create age appropriate activities which stimulate each child;
- Proactive at all times as well as offering support when needed;
- Follow Safeguarding polices and apply them throughout the setting;
- Report any accidents to the relevant member off staff and fill in Accidents Form.
Requirements:
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained;
- You must have legal right to work in the UK;
- You must be willing to attend a registration interview;
- Good communication skills both written and verbal;
- Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, parents and outside agencies;
- An understanding and commitment to equal opportunities;
- Ability to use computer and software packages;
- An understanding of workplace health & safety;
- Ability to plan and organise workload;
- A willingness to undertake further relevant training including some evenings and weekends.
