Our company is looking for a Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing kitchen documentation;
- Working alongside the Head Chef;
- Organising the larder;
- Working to Food Hygiene and safety recommendations;
- Keeping work area clean and tidy;
- To ensure food is served promptly and work is carried out quickly and efficiently to keep up when busy;
- Thorough knowledge of all about the food being prepare;
- To ensure food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality;
- To assist in completion of relevant paperwork reproduction and wastage sheets, cleaning records etc;
- To ensure portion control, preparation and storage methods avoid wastage and keep down costs;
- Ensure all food sent out is correctly garnished;
- Ensure kitchen areas are clean and tidy during services;
- Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately;
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene;
- Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef.
