Our company is looking for a Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing kitchen documentation;
  • Working alongside the Head Chef;
  • Organising the larder;
  • Working to Food Hygiene and safety recommendations;
  • Keeping work area clean and tidy;
  • To ensure food is served promptly and work is carried out quickly and efficiently to keep up when busy;
  • Thorough knowledge of all about the food being prepare;
  • To ensure food is prepared to required standards checking for taste, presentation and quality;
  • To assist in completion of relevant paperwork reproduction and wastage sheets, cleaning records etc;
  • To ensure portion control, preparation and storage methods avoid wastage and keep down costs;
  • Ensure all food sent out is correctly garnished;
  • Ensure kitchen areas are clean and tidy during services;
  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately;
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene;
  • Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef.
